Hosting guests overnight in an apartment

 In Uncategorized

Hosting and accommodating guests in a smaller Midvale Apartment Rentals apartment can be a challenge. There is a limited amount of room, and only one bedroom. Stuff and furniture may need to be moved around to make space for a sleeping space. This situation can lead to stress and anxiety as you get ready, but it does not have to. With so much preparation time and effort you can help your guests have an enjoyable stay.

With one bedroom or none investing in a secondary sleeping option for when guests come over is suggested. This could be owning another mattress or buying an air mattress. Air mattresses are a great way to have a simple set up and take down. You can deflate and put the air mattress away during the day which will open up your living space and give everyone more room. Another option could be a couch with a pull out bed. Find a strategic place for your guests bed, this means near a lamp or other light source so they do not have to fumble around in the dark to find their bed. Use blinds or curtains that block out sunlight, or have some eye masks available for your guests. These simple things can help your guests sleep better at night and be well rested for the next day.

Other accommodations that you could have include a clothing rack, privacy screen, and stocking the bathroom with toiletries. Restocking your kitchen in preparation is also a great idea, so you will not have to worry about going grocery shopping during your guest’s visit. Wash any sheets that will be used during the duration of their visit, also check that you have clean bath towels as well. Set aside a specific chair or table that your guests can place their luggage in, something in a corner or out of the way works best to keep the living space clear and uncluttered.
