Easy and cheap Valentine’s decorations for an apartment

The month of February means that love is in the air, and everyone wants to spend some extra quality time with that special someone in their life. Another way to add a little bit of love into your everyday life is to decorate your apartment with a variety of valentines themed decorations. Doing this can add a fun element to this month, that at times can be a bit gray and dreary.

These decorations can not and in most cases should not cost a lot of money. You can find cheap and affordable decorations or buy materials and make your own decorations for a fraction of the cost. Decorations made from paper or other cheap materials will keep the total cost of the decorations you make low and affordable on almost any budget. 

Paper decorations if done that way can look cute and enhance the look of your apartment. A relatively simple decoration to make is a hanging chain of heart. Cut out a bunch of paper hearts then attach them to strings. After you have made a few of these chains connect them together making an almost chandelier shape. After you have done this you can hang your heart chandelier anywhere you want to. 

If you are not super crafty then going to a dollar store is a good place to get cheap and still cute decorations. The dollar store will have a variety of decorations to choose from. You could get fun plates, bowls, or cups, table centerpieces, funny hats, glasses, and so much more. The dollar store is also a great option if you are holding a Valentine’s or Galentine’s day if you are single. You can make a fun party atmosphere for a fraction of the cost.
