HERE’S WHAT MAKES MIDVALE A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE
Midvale City: Where Family Fun, History, and Nature Come Together
So you’ve decided to move into the exciting mess of ‘burbs, neighborhoods, and townships that is the Greater Salt Lake Metro Area. Welcome! What draws people to places like Midvale, Murray, and Sandy is the affordability, quiet community atmosphere, and easy commute to the city.
Midvale Apartments are the best deal for Utah’s hard-working backbone of blue and white-collar professionals, young families, and single income adults.
The area has seen steady growth since its settlement in the mid 1800’s. What used to be farms and graze land along the Jordan River has grown into a quietly thriving, diverse community of over 30,000 people. Don’t worry about that river and land, though, much of the riverbank and pastures have been preserved as beautiful public land, parks, and of course, as the historic Jordan River Parkway.
The Jordan River Parkway is one of my favorite places in the whole Salt Lake Valley; it’s a 14-mile bike and pedestrian pathway through some of the Salt Lake Valley’s oldest settled areas. In contrast to the harsh western desert and rugged eastern mountains, the Jordan River meanders through gentle grassland and lush cottonwood groves that the earl pioneers valued so much.
Well, I already told you why I like it here, but Midvale has a lot to offer to the would-be urbanite as well.
For instance, Midvale hosts a variety of new and exciting restaurants and eateries. My personal favorite would have to be the Bohemian Restaurant and Brewery where you can enjoy authentic German food and sample from their ever-changing list of lagers and ales that they brew onsite; you can also pick up some of my favorites, like the Viennese Lager or Czech Pilsner, at any local grocery store. Midvale also offers a location of Salt Lake’s famous homegrown eatery, the Pie Pizzeria, which, to any local, needs no introduction.
Historic Old Town Midvale also features a regional favorite, the Desert Star Playhouse. People from all over the state come to enjoy their family-friendly spoofs, original comedies, and musical revues. Adjacent to the Desert Star are venues that host local and touring bands, church congregations, comedians and hypnotists. If you’re not in the mood for a live performance, you’re still in luck, because Midvale Apartments is situated for easy access to Jordan Landing, Jordan Commons, and The District; three of Utah’s largest movie Megaplexes, each with their own array of restaurants and shopping venues.
