The cold weather can be a downer as some years March is bright, warm, and the sun shines often. Unfortunately this month seems to be the opposite with winter storms, icy roads, and the sunshine every couple days if we are lucky. All the gray, dreary weather can make March seem long and seasonal depression has yet to be alleviate

While we can not control the weather here are a few suggestions to liven up your March, and keep your spirits up. 

When possible, get out and enjoy the nice weather, instead of staying in your Midvale Utah Apartments apartment. In the early months of spring there are rare days where the weather is nice and it feels pleasant to be outside. If one of these dyas happens, a great way to spend it is being outdoors. This could be taking your kids or grandkids to the nearest park, taking a walk by yourself or with a loved one, going to a sporting event (professional, amateur, or child), or finding another way to be active outdoors. Being outside breathing in fresh air is a great way to take a break and take time to enjoy nature. Many people find that being outside reduces stress and helps to relax.

Paper decorations if done that way can look cute and enhance the look of your apartment. A relatively simple decoration to make is a hanging chain of heart. Cut out a bunch of paper hearts then attach them to strings. After you have made a few of these chains connect them together making an almost chandelier shape. After you have done this you can hang your heart chandelier anywhere you want to. 

If you are not super crafty then going to a dollar store is a good place to get cheap and still cute decorations. The dollar store will have a variety of decorations to choose from. You could get fun plates, bowls, or cups, table centerpieces, funny hats, glasses, and so much more. The dollar store is also a great option if you are holding a Valentine’s or Galentine’s day if you are single. You can make a fun party atmosphere for a fraction of the cost.

This can be hard to avoid but make an effort to clear it or even find a drawer for those things. As for all of the kitchen utensils, take advantage of all the cabinet space. Put smaller bowles inside larger ones. Label and section off your drawers. By doing this you will not throw things in a random draw; each item can have a specific drawer. This will help save so much space. Also use those walls. Hang us hooks that spatulas can hang on. 

The living room can get overrun by random items very fast. Because you spend a lot of time in the living room, try to keep it as clean as you can. Try organizing your items by use. If it doesn’t get used very much maybe store it away. The home is always better when the living room is cleaner. 

With the kitchen and the living room being the two main rooms in the house you need to keep that space organized. Take advantage of that shelf and cabinet space, use the walls to your advantage, and try to keep those rooms clean. The home will be so much better if you can keep it organized.

Make a plan

Before doing anything else, make a plan. This plan should cover food, games, invitations, and having a structured timetable. Start by deciding what the theme is. You can base everything else on the theme. This theme could be a movie, character, or television show your kid loves. 

Once a theme is chosen you can find games and a cake that fits under it. Games are a great way to keep kids engaged and entertained. These games do not have to be complex and difficult. Have them play freeze tag to the movie playlist, play pin the tail on the donkey, get a pinata, etc… 

Food is the next big focus. Depending on when your party is, dinner or lunch may need to be included. If this is the case keep it simple. Buy a few pizzas and get paper plates. If the party does ont include a meal all you need is a cake or other similar dessert. Cakes come in all shapes and sizes. You can make a cake from scratch, make one from a package, or buy on from your local bakery. Either way the kids will love it. The cake can also incorporate the party’s theme in the decoration. 

Invitations can be made once everything else has been decided. These could be as simple as a text or you can print them out and have your children deliver them. Include your phone number and get RSVP from the parents.
